Tony Taslim has spent thirty years in technology, and about twenty of those building and protecting the systems large enterprises run on. At Alcatel-Lucent he was part of the team that delivered the largest telecommunications system transformation in the country, integrated systems valued above $100 million, engineered to 99.999% resilience because emergency services depended on them. At IBM he worked as a TOGAF-certified architect on enterprise systems across retail and wholesale, motoring, hospitality, telecommunications and the utility sector, including a transformation delivered for roughly $6 million against a $21 million budget, around six months ahead of schedule.
He also holds a Master of Finance, which is why the conversation with a CFO runs in commercial language, not technical language. Risk, margin, recovery time, and the cost of the gap.

That line has guided Tony's work since he first heard it, and it shows up in one habit above all: he never fixes the part without reading the whole. Every engagement starts with people, process, technology and risk read as one connected structure, at 360 degrees, the same discipline enterprise architecture demands.
The reason is simple. Most mid-market firms are advised by an IT provider, an accountant and a consultant, and each sees one slice. The real risk lives between the slices. Reading the whole structure first is what turns a point fix into a durable one.

Efficient Business Solutions started in 2014, after an IBM restructure closed one chapter and opened this one. Tony had spent the previous two years studying marketing, finance and business alongside the architecture work, and the timing turned a setback into a beginning. There is no coincidence in the process. Everything has a reason.
Since then the practice has served ten large multinationals and more than twenty small and mid-sized businesses across Australia and South-East Asia, from professional services to manufacturing.
